We say “Disappointing ourselves is worse” when we disappoint others. We say “Disappointing others is worse” when we disappoint ourselves. Best is to go for the “act with confidence to think with confidence” approach (as described in The Magic of Thinking Big), but that’s always the hardest thing to do.
That’s an interesting way of looking at it! Yes, it’s hard to keep everyone satisfied. I think you need to be a bit selfish and make sure you don’t disappoint yourself.

Once you do, just be persistent and don’t think of failure. At least you did your best and you didn’t dissapoint yourself
Totally. The problem for me and others, I believe, is that “believing in yourself” can come and go, depending on the emotional state and environmental context. It’s a tricky one . I totally agree with you – great attitudes help!
